His most famous pieces are the famous French type MOUCHON designs from 1900 and its contribution to the subsequent La Semeuse (from 1902), but he was also asked in many European countries for his designs. The tax stamps were introduced in France in 1859 to be paid by the recipient of missing or insufficient postage. The use of prepaid postage increased with the success of postal reform in 1849 so the extra value had to be paid by the recipient. Initially they were only for local campaigns. In 1852, the value changed to 1.5 c. and in 1878 to 2 c. In 1859 They were introduced as tax rates in 1859, from March 1947 on it was called stamp tax.
