Kazimierz Sichulski (born 17 January 1879, Lviv – 6 November 1942, Liviv) is a Polish painter, illustrator and graphic artist. The 'Peasant Boy' is one of his paintings. He studied in the years 1900-1908 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the leadership of Leon Wyczółkowski, Joseph and Mehoffer Wyspianski. Educated in Rome, Paris and Munich. He married the famous actress Bronislawa Rudlicką. He debuted in 1903 at the Association of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow. Between 1903-1905 he worked as an illustrator for the satirical magazine Liberum Veto. He was a member of the Vienna group Hagen Bund. He fought in the ranks of the Polish Legions during World War I. In 1920-1930, he was professor at the State University Industrial School in Lvov, in the 1930-1939 Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
